Apple Pie Steel Cut Oats

Tuesday’s are my long days at work. Believe me, I come prepared with my meals, snacks, work out shoes and water! I don’t always get time to do my stairs but I sure don’t forget to eat. I was craving sugar all day today and I am glad I had my trusted ‘Apple Pie Steel cut Oats’ with me!

Steel cut oats are a great source of fiber, stabilizes blood sugars and keeps you full!


Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp steel cut oats

  • 1/4 cup cashew milk

  • 1 cup water

  • Choose your sweetener: 1 banana / monk fruit (1-2 teaspoon) / maple syrup (1 tbsp) / honey (1 tbsp)

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon clove powder

  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder

  • 1 Apple (cooked on stove top with cinnamon)

  • Granola of your choice

Instructions:

  1. Cook oats and your sweetener in water with all the above spices. Once cooked store it in the fridge.

  2. When you are ready to eat, top it with milk of your choice, cinnamon apple and granola / nuts for crunch.
