Traditionally sweets are made from sesame seeds, sugar/ jaggery, ghee, peanuts and coconut. They are super yummy! I made a slightly healthier version of these treats and they are just as yummy!!
Ingredients:
2 cups of almond meal (from Trader Joe's)
1/2 cup ground flax
1/2 cup oat bran
4-5 tbsp Tahini (add more if your dough is crumbly)
1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
2 teaspoon ground cardamom
Pinch of salt
4 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
Mix all the above ingredients except toasted sesame seeds. Blend and adjust maple syrup as desired.
Once the dough is sticky enough you can roll them into balls.
Coat them with toasted sesame seeds (dry roasted on a pan) and enjoy!
