A Diwali treat!
Ingredients:
1 cup of almond meal
1/2 cup of almond flour
1/2 cup of coconut flour
1 cup of coconut sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp clarified ghee
2 cups of 2% fat reduced sugar milk (Whole Foods)
Instructions:
Heat the ghee on low flame
Add almond meal and almond flour
Roast until it's golden. Make sure it does not burn
Once it's golden brown, add coconut flour and cardamom
Roast it for 2 minutes and then add sugar
Mix and roast for another minute, then add the milk
Break up any lumps and make it smooth. Keep stirring - it takes some time to firm it into a Halwa / puffing consistency
Switch off the heat and let it cool for 5 minutes
