A healthy twist on Laddoos to satisfy your cravings!

Laddoos (Indian Cuisine) are sweet treats made with flour, sugar, ghee/oil, and nuts. They are strictly treats that need to be enjoyed once in a while as they are packed with sugar, saturated fat and devoid of fiber. I do indulge in them once in a while. This recipe is as close as you can get to a healthy Laddoos without the sugar and saturated fat. The cashew butter gives them a very Besan (chick pea flour) like flavor!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup of almond meal (I like to get mine from Trader Joe's)
1/2 cup of cashew butter
5 dates
Pinch of Cinnamon
Optional: 1-2 teaspoons of shredded unsweetened coconut
Instructions:
Blend almond meal, cashew butter, cinnamon, and dates together until it reaches a dough-like consistency.
Roll into 1-inch balls.
If you love coconut, roll the laddoos balls in shredded coconut.
Enjoy!
