I grew up on different variations of this dish. You can keep it as simple as the one here or go all fancy with 20 different spices and condiments. I keep it very simple! This is healthy, yummy and easy which is my ‘Mantra’ for cooking.

Health benefits of cruciferous vegetables are known. One cup of cauliflower has 3 grams of fiber (10% of our daily need), 3 grams of protein, and is rich in antioxidants like sulforaphane, glucosinolates, isocyothionates (antioxidants). One cup of green peas has 7 grams of fiber and 8 grams of protein.
Ingredients:
2 cups of cauliflower
1 cup of English green peas
1 teaspoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon of black pepper ground
1 teaspoon of coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne/ chili powder
1 teaspoon of lime juice
1 tbsp avocado oil
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Heat oil in a pan and add cauliflower florets. On medium heat cook the cauliflower until the edges are brown. Make sure you stir it frequently
Add all the spices one by one mixing it well. Cook for another 10 mins. If necessary cover the pan (caution: you do not want your florets to be mushy)
Once 3/4 cooked add peas, salt and 1 teaspoon of lime juice
Switch off the heat and enjoy!
