Coconut Chocolate Cayenne Cinnamon Banana Oats

Food should not boring! It’s like anything in life - it needs to have some curb appeal , colors, textures and above all - nutrition and flavor!

I am constantly attempting recipes that are refined sugar free, filled with complex carbohydrates, MUFAs, protein. This one checked all the boxes!


Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp steel cut oats

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 cup coconut milk unsweetened

  • 1-2 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne

  • 1 mashed bananas

  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cacao

  • Toppings of your choice! I used 1/4 chopped crisp apple, 1 teaspoon chick pea granola, a few cacao nibs and a sprinkle of cayenne

Instructions:

  1. Cook oats in water first and then milk

  2. Add bananas, spices and cacao

  3. Once all cooked (5-10 min) top it with your toppings

  4. This made 2 servings!
