Food should not boring! It’s like anything in life - it needs to have some curb appeal , colors, textures and above all - nutrition and flavor!
I am constantly attempting recipes that are refined sugar free, filled with complex carbohydrates, MUFAs, protein. This one checked all the boxes!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp steel cut oats
1 cup of water
1 cup coconut milk unsweetened
1-2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1 mashed bananas
1 tbsp unsweetened cacao
Toppings of your choice! I used 1/4 chopped crisp apple, 1 teaspoon chick pea granola, a few cacao nibs and a sprinkle of cayenne
Instructions:
Cook oats in water first and then milk
Add bananas, spices and cacao
Once all cooked (5-10 min) top it with your toppings
This made 2 servings!
